JPMA-Certified
When a product bears a certification seal from the JPMA (Juvenile Product Manufacturer’s Association), you know that you can trust your child’s well-being in this particular piece of furniture. The JPMA puts products through rigorous testing during the manufacturing process, including laboratory testing and on-site inspections with the manufacturer. They also strive to ensure that all products conform to requirements from the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials).
Currently, the JPMA sponsors 20 certification programs for 250 companies across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. At Kids Only Furniture, we are proud to provide our customers with cradles, cribs, and other JMPA-certified furniture at all our locations.
GreenGuard
A GreenGuard certification means one thing: the product is pollutant-free. GreenGuard puts their products through some of the most rigorous tests in the world, and they only certify those pieces that meet their standards for minimal volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs can negatively impact the air quality of a room, creating health concerns for everyone at home.
GreenGuard certification is largely considered the gold standard for low-emissions products that help keep customers healthy. Products that meet the GreenGuard standard also meet the requirements set by the California Department of Public Health. When you buy a mattress from Kids Only Furniture, you are bringing a GreenGuard certified item into your home.
Certi-PUR
Our mattresses are always stuffed with Certi-PUR certified foam for a safer night’s sleep. Certi-PUR uses independent, accredited laboratories to test the polyurethane foam inside products for harmful chemicals. This testing helps ensure that you get the cleanest, most natural product possible.
Certi-PUR products are made without:
- Ozone depleters
- PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants
- Mercury or lead
- Formaldehyde
These products also contain a very low level of VOC emissions – less than 0.5 parts per million, to be exact! Kids Only Furniture is proud to sell Certi-PUR mattresses, so your kids can always have a clean room (even when they don’t pick up their toys).
ASTM Certification
Like we mentioned earlier, the ASTM is otherwise known as the American Society for Testing and Materials. Through their certification program (offered through their subsidiary, the Safety Equipment Institute, or SEI) the ASTM creates a set of compliance standards that ensures the products you use each day are safe. When you see an SEI or ASTM label, you can be certain that the product bearing that symbol meets the highest quality and performance standards available.
